Client's Brief

Location
Halstead, Essex

This new build property garden laid to lawn had a brick garage wall which dominated the space. The client required a modern garden to match the house interior, structural planting, a dining area, an additional seating area, plus a focal point in the angled corner of the space.

The key to this design was down to different textures creating a rhythm through the garden. The garden boundary was covered with larch battening and a feature wall of yew. The garage side wall was clad with a textured tile which then matched with the angled corner brick wall cladding. A bespoke blade water feature in this corner draws the eye and the design is finished with a lush green lawn and structural planting.
