A tropical Oasis was requested in this sloping small garden town house featuring a central semi-sunken hot tub. Low open hurdle fencing to neighbour’s each side required modern higher screening for privacy.
Certain sentimental trees could not be disturbed and had to be accommodated within the new design.
This design hinged around the placement of the semi-sunken hot tub on the sloped site. The hot tub needed to placed on a 45 degree angle to fit it around the trees that could not be moved. To mage the sloped site a pit was dug for the hot tub and then a complicated decked arrangement completed the upper half of the tub container. This decking inspired raised beds and two different levels of the garden. All main planting consists of ferns.
